Final Answer

Peter said to Jesus that he would build three tents, one for Jesus, another for Moses, and the other for Elijah on the mount of Transfiguration. Why did he say that? The answers you all gave is correct. Peter was so afraid of what he was seeing. Imagine, he just saw two people, Moses and Elijah, who have been dead for many years ago were talking with Jesus. You may say it like seeing ghost in modern term. Indeed, high on the mountain, in the middle of night where no one around except the three disciples (Peter, James and John), the rest were left behind. Remember the character of Peter? He was talk fast and think later type. So out of fear, he spoke to Jesus saying he would build three tents with nothing in his hands.

If you think that Peter like the view, may be not a good reason to live up there and forget about Jesus' ministry. Also if Peter understand Jesus' needs, he may not be asking this question either. Peter definitely desired to be a good disciple to Jesus, again by building tents and live up on the mountain is not exactly make him to be good. Hope you like this game. Play again. Tell one more person to play this game.

Bible Insight

Who wants happiness? I guess most of us wants it. If we can buy a piece of happiness, we would pay for it. In fact, people looking for happiness in various ways. Some using drug and other chase after money, fame, and pleasure. King Solomon was the man who pursue after satisfaction of his heart, "Happiness." However, in the end he said in his wisdom that everything under the sun was "vanity, vanity, vanity." (Ecc. 1:2).

Famous Rock Star of our time, "Rolling Stone" band singer said in his song, "I can't get no satisfaction." You may ask, what makes our heart to be satisfy or even happy? When I heard the children song, in lyric, "because of thankful heart is the happy heart" right away I realized it. That is, people who giving thanks to God who provides all their needs are the most happy people on earth. Why? Because when you give thank to God means you counting your blessing which you received.

Your focus is on what you have and not what you don't. By not looking at what you can not have or have not receive, your heart is satisfy with what you now have. Other words, your thankful heart is key to joy and happiness in the Lord. Indeed, God wants thankful children rather than winding one (Heb.13:15-16). He knows the best for us. His promise is that He will provide our needs for He knows, even before we ask Him (Matt.6:31-32).

So let us start saying, "Thank you God for your wonderful blessings." Your happiness is just two words away from us, "Thank you." May your hearts be happy as you giving thanks to our Lord in this season. Happy thanksgiving!
