Special thanks to IRC (International Rescue Committee) for their time and joining us for this event. Also our gratitude toward Attorney Ms.Susan for her time and care for the people of Burma. She has given us free consultation regarding Immigration cases during our event. There are many who benefited through her consultation. Thanks to Ma Sherly Lau for her time and talent in free cutting hair for the new comers.

News & Concerns

I believe, we all who live in Bay area felt the quake on Tuesday night around 8:00 PM. Some of us might have been a little get scared. This is the first experience of earthquake that I have in my life. It reminds us to be prepared for the bigger one, isn't it? I wonder how many of us actually are preparing of it? Thinking about preparation, Jesus said, "Watch and pray, for the hour you do not know," regarding His return. Talking about tentatively waiting for His return. The similar question came across to my mind is that are we prepared to meet our Lord?

Recently, Lu Ke Ya has gave birth a baby Boy (Salajidin Lay) on Sunday morning. Both baby and mother are healthy and they are back home. Two days earlier Rehema Bee also delivered a baby Girl (Hasena Bee). They also are doing well. Since, the arrival of new comers earlier this year, till now, there are three children born, as far as I know. The third one was Aunty Naw Da's grand daughter, who also gave birth last month a baby Girl. We celebrate and dedicate this child in our church two weeks ago (see Gallery). Praise the Lord!

This Saturday Nov. 3rd, 2007 is the day to change your clock 1 hour back. It is fall season!

Bible Insight

"Being sons of the resurrection" (Luke 20:36)

Jesus answered to Sadducee's' question on the resurrection of the dead, he described the resurrected believers as "sons of the resurrection." Have you ever thought of our nature here on earth as the sons of the resurrection?

Yes, we are promised in Christ Jesus that we are positionally, the sons of the resurrection. So the only thing we have to ask is that do we live like one? Jesus described farther saying that we can't die no more, being equal to the angels and we are the sons of God.

If we live we live to our Lord. Paul said, "for to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Phil.1:21) You may ask, 'how shall I live for Christ?' Interestingly, the answer is simple. By obeying and doing His words. Every Christians are to be Christ-like followers in each moment of our lives. That is called 'living.' If we do not change in our characters and hearts, probably we are dead. Dead in spirit and in life. There is a life called "abundant life" which Jesus claimed that He came to give us. That abundant life must be experienced by every Christians here on earth. He promised us. The truth is, even Christians, some time have no experience of it. The reason is that we are being dead and not living. Luke 20:38, Jesus said, "For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him." Let us all live to Him, by Him and for Him alone. If you still wondering 'how,' hear this Psalms said;

"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."Ps.16:11

God bless!
