OBMBC & CMF on the Go for First Music CD Recoding

We thank God for the opportunity and willing hearts of His people doing first music CD recording on the Go. Special thank to Ko Aung Doo for his kindness and dedication to our Young Adults and our church in this special project. We began recording for this music CD as a combine effort with Christian Musicians Fellowship.

The songs are composed by Ko Ja La, Ko Lian Lian, Toe Toe, Pha Yo, and myself from our side. CMF will also have their own composed songs. Fresh and talented CMF singers will perform in this Music CD. So without any further to say, "this is it!" Wait for the release of CD in very near future.

May God bless CMF's ministry as they serve our Lord, Jesus Christ with their talents.

Special Prayer Service for Cyclone Victims of Myanmar turned out to be Tearful

It was hard to understand and comprehend when we saw some of the photos from Myanmar after cyclone disaster. It brought us tears to our eyes and grieve to our hearts. Our tearful prayers from individual poured out into three different languages (Karen, Burmese, & English).

We meditated upon God's word and took courage by knowing that God is in control. God is above the storm. The praise song says, "When the Ocean rises and thunders roar, I will sore with You above the storm.... I will be still and know You are God." May those victims find rest in God's providence and care. May they find peace in the midst of storm. That is what we are praying for....

Lost Contact

It is never easy to bear the thought that how our family members are coping with cyclone disaster back in Burma. Lost contact and no news about where they are. Just in thought, they will be alright, comforting ourselves.
The news reports devastating images cause us to be shock and awe. The back of our mind, the question is repeating why? Why? Why? Just in time, something reminds us that God is in control.
Prayer can be effective in time like this. Let us pray for the victims and our family members. Let us render our helps with the best that we can. Let us trust in God who is good all the time.

You may call it lucky for this incident on this clip. But God must be it to save such person from a tragic in a twinkling of an eye. O Lord, protect us from all danger and harmful ways! Do not put your soul at risk today, what if you were gone without Christ, just like that?

Don't Judge too Quickly

Sometime, things happen and no one understand your situation. You can't explain, yet you know it will be explained by itself. Let us not judge other so quickly, just because we think what it is. "Miss-understand" we called it. Give them a chance...

Well, tax rebate check is on the way to our tax payer families, said Uncle Sam today. However, they still need to sign into law for that rebate. Some of us are already thinking about how to spend it. I heard on the radio, a lady said that she will spend it for vacation trip or something else. True enough that rebate check will be in between $300 to $1,200 per house whole. Additional money will be there if you have dependant children. Wow! Hold your thought. First of all the check will not be in your hand till mid July 2008 that’s what they said. Second we have to pay first our tax due on April 10th. Whoop! Happy feeling gone! Anyway, when we are blessed with extra things, remember to bless other who may be in “between blessings.”

A knock from Unsuspected

Many times we assume certain thing can not be happening yet we are there to take it as if unsuspected. Here is an example that proved us we should suspect upon unsuspected. It is our human nature that we don’t want to give a benefit of a doubt to the things that we come a cross, instead stick tactlessly to our own understanding. That is why some time we suffer through in our own knowledge.
Some how, it is funny and pity. It is to remind us we should suspect the unsuspected even in our spiritual life. There are so much idolism, philosophies, idealism, etc. surrounding us in this world. We are to watch out for error which sometime mixes with the truth. Remember, half truth is always error. So like Ephesians chapter 6 said, let us put on the whole armor of God.

Let's play

Well, sport is in our mind for this Sunday afternoon. After your Thanksgiving Luncheon, let us be ready to lose those pounds back by playing Volleyball and soccer in the Gym. Outdoor games will be there if the weather allow. Don't forget to bring your shoes, shirt and shorts.

Theo-Centric point of view

What is that all about? Theo means God (Almighty, Everlasting, unchanging, Great I AM) and 'Centric' for center; which is God centered thoughts or expression that I would like to share with you in this blog. You are welcome to share your comments and thought with me. It is also intended to build a communication line among the church members. You may find weekly 'Bible insight,' 'News & Concern,' 'Ministry Update,' and 'Prayer Requests' on this blog.
