Basket 3: Living Life of Giving

This week sermon was based on the Acts 20:35 “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” It is our third basket theme “Living Life of Giving” out of 12 baskets ministry emphasis of this year, for the month of March.
‘Giving’ is an ingredient or a spice of life. Without giving there is no living. Actually, every one of us has received something from someone, either our parents, siblings, friends, or neighbor, one way or another. That’s mean, at lease, someone is there as a giver in your life. We ought to give and live. Jesus said especially to Christians, “Freely you received, freely give…”
Indeed, God wants us to be givers in a way that we should be the channels of blessings toward others. When God wants to bless someone through you, surely He will bless you abundantly first. It is to notice that when we are blessed abundant it must be something that God wants us to do. If we realize that we better channel out our blessing to the needy. Imagine, if we keep all those blessings for ourselves, then the channel is blocked, how God can use that blocked channel to bring blessings for others. We remember what Jesus said that He will give the more to those who have more and He will take away from those who do not have at all, when the parable of talent was told.
Let us live a life of giving in our daily walk with the Lord. Through out this month, we will continue to focus on “giving” in our messages. So please come and share with us how much God has blessed you since you have been living a life of giving in our worship services.
