Helping Hand for Haiti

This Sunday, our worship service will be collecting special offering for the earthquake victims of Haiti. All the families of our church, let us do something for the needs of Haiti.
God is faithful to multiply our offerings as we gave.
Thank you all our leaders for your initiative effort to give generously and working together with the American Baptist National Ministry for this course.
We are also decided to channel some of our resources through our Regional Ministry "Growing Healthy Churches" for the course of lending a helping hand to Haitians. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the surviving victims of this terrible earthquake.

Australian Mission Team visited OBMBC

Saya Rupert and a mission team from Australia visited Bay Area Burmese churches. We were delighted by their testimonies, songs, dances and Sermon on Sunday. They have encouraged us with their enthusiasm to share Gospel and serve one another in the ministry of our Lord. Young Adults had much fun time with Saya Rupert during Q & A section about Australian Burmese Christians' activities and their faith. Saya explained his ministry experiences and personal testimony about being called by God into ministry. They were enjoying the fellowship together.

Burmese Christians Association of North America (BCANA) member churches; Burmese Christians Community Church of Silicon Vally, First Burmese Baptist Church of San Francisco and Oakland Burmese Mission Baptist Church hosted them on last weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. May God continue to bless the team as they go forward to the rest of missionary journey.

Rev. Dr. Maung Maung Yin will be delivering the Lord message in our coming Sunday worship service. He is humble, active and effective minister of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Recently, he has given us "Leadership Seminar" as well as "Church Membership Seminar" at our church. It was enlightenment time for all of us. We thank God for Rev. Dr. Maung Maung Yin for being with us here, all the way from Burma and it has been blessing to all of us.
I hope you can come and join us this Sunday worship service at 1:00 PM in our church. He will be speaking on our church theme for this "May" month; "Sanctify Your Life: Purity."
