Happy New Year! and New Theme for the OBMBC

3.5% is our Theme for 2010. Let me explain, the planet Earth is covered by three quarters of the boy of waters, we called it sea. The amazing fact is that the sea water contains 3.5% of salt in it. The other 96.5% is purely water by itself. However, when you taste the sea water, you know how much salty it is. Our Lord, Jesus Christ pulls this example so effectively as He compares us, the Christians with the Salt. Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth." Matthew 5:13. Imagine that if a few percent of salt contains in the sea water can make it salty, then we a few Christians also can be the salt of the Earth to impact the world. Jesus did not suggest that we should be salt of the earth, but He said that we are the salt of the earth. So, we are already the salt. The question is that Do you have saltiness in you? or Have you lost salt flavor in you? The next sentences in Matt.5:13 are that if the salt has lost the flavor, it is unusable and throw away. Our hope and pray is that we all will be salty Christians to influence our surrounding people, to be testimonies for our Lord, to guide and lead people unto Him for their salvation. Let the salt reminds us whenever we taste it in our food and see it or use it in our daily life that we are to be the salt of the Earth. 3.5% is our focus and our theme in our preaching, praying, serving as we go through this year 2010. May you have a blessed New Year as you commit yourselves in the Lord, Jesus Christ.
